Best vegan options in Springfield so far! - Edit
We got their smothered vegan burritos and they were MASSIVE, the size of my forearm! They didn't skimp on ingredients at all. The flavor was perfect and the sauce ratio was on point-- we highly recommend La Fiesta!

Lovely Vegan Options - Edit
La Fiesta really knocks it out of the park with their vegan menu. Tons of options, including dessert (!!!), and everything is dynamite. They are super knowledgeable and have great staff. Wonderful experience all around!

One Of the Best Vegan Menus in Central IL - Edit
I would rate them 5 stars if I could. While they serve normal non-vegan food, they have a FULL vegan menu including appetizers, main courses, and desserts requiring no modifications. My personal favorites entree is the vegan burrito with impossible grounds; it's the size of an entire plate and is covered in sauce and vegan sour cream. All the desserts are awesome but my favorite is the fried vegan cheesecake served with ice cream. La Fiesta Chatham is THE place to go for vegan food in Central Illinois.

The vegan buffet was a great way to try a variety of options. But it's only offered occasionally, so call ahead for that. Otherwise, the Green Menu is full of options.

Terrific Tacos - Edit
The tofu tacos are some of the best tacos I’ve ever had, vegan or otherwise. The sweetness of the mango pairs perfectly with the grilled tofu.

Wow. We devoured the molceajete and burrito. The flavors were intense and delicious. They have a separate vegan menu with many choices. We will definitely make a point of stopping in whenever we travel through town again. Also the staff were fantastic as well!

Lots of Delicious Vegan Options! - Edit
La Fiesta has so many vegan friendly dishes! There's vegan chorizo, chicken, beef, tofu, and even a few dessert options! I've tried the tofu burrito, tofu tacos, vegan fried ice cream, and vegan cheesecake chimichangas. There is sometimes a language barrier to be aware of. We've had them get the dessert order wrong and give us the non-vegan version. Luckily, my date knew it wasn't the vegan version. Great date night spot too!

Read moreMy husband and I absolutely had an amazing experience here! The food and service was wonderful! We ordered off of the “green menu” which is solely vegan and vegetarian options! I had many options opposed to the normal only veggie option! Seriously, my new favorite place to dine! Our waitress Daniela was so sweet and attentive! The manager let us sample other vegan food he was considering for the menu and was also amazing to us! Love, love, love! Check it out!!!! You won’t be sorry! Oh, and my husband is a meat eater who ordered off the vegan menu and loved his dinner also! (I plan on stealing his leftovers later! 😂) We also enjoyed the vegan desserts!

They have added some more menu items since I first started coming here a few months ago. It is really nice that they have a vegan specific menu. A+ for effort. As always the staff are all really nice and don't ever seem to mind making simple changes to orders (subbing corn tortillas in place of flour, bringing extra vegan Chipotle sauce upon request, etc.) This is a great place to check out if you live in Springfield or just happen to be passing through.
Read more*Update* Roughly three months ago i suggested a product to the owner, and as of January 2020 the product has been introduced! It is a chicken like meat substitute that is both vegan and gluten free. On our most recent visit to La Fiesta, our party was served a tray of fajitas featuring the product, however it has not yet been added to the menu. If you are interested, be sure to ask about the vegan chicken fajitas!!! Everyone needs to try them and i really hope to see the option added to the menu permanently.

A Gem in the Springfield Area - Edit
Passing through Springfield on our way to the Chicago area, we discovered this place on Happy Cow. The reviews were great and we decided to give it a try. We were very happy we did. Apparently the restaurant owners created a separate vegan menu because of requests from their customers. They went out of their way to design dishes that are above the standard fare you usually find for vegans at a typical Mexican restaurant. My husband ordered off the vegetarian menu and had butternut squash enchiladas served with rice and beans. Although it wasn't vegan, I'm sure it could be made so. I had a dish called mocajeta, which was very similar to fajitas with lots veggies and served in a lava rock bowl without tortillas. It was very spicy and a huge serving. I ended up taking half of it home. It was served with rice and beans. It is comforting to know that the restaurant goes out of the way to cook the vegetarian and vegan food away from the meat so there is no danger of cross contamination. I would highly recommend you trying them if you find yourself in the Springfield area.

Wow! Salsa and chips to start. Ordered guacamole to go with and it was awesome. Tried two kinds of taco - marinated tofu with a mango sauce and a spicy chipotle one. Had to save some for a ToGo box in order to try some of the 5 vegan desserts. Yum! Can't wait for next visit. The Green Menu is brought to table with the traditional menu.

Super delicious! They have their own Vegan Menu separate from the regular menu, they have really good options. Tofu tacos were great! They have a good selection of desserts. The staff knows their stuff and are super friendly. Very welcoming atmosphere with a cool vibe inside. Will for sure be back!!!!!
